 Todd Orr As an avid sportsman, I soon realized I couldn't find a knife of the quality and dependability needed for my hunting, fishing, and camping expeditions. A good knife is irnportant, but finding one manufactured to the standards I expected became an impossible task. So, the research began. First, I contacted manufacturers and discussed their techniques for designing what they considered their most efficient, durable creations. I performed extensive tests on various knives to determine why the blades (and the knives as a whole) were failing to meet the high standards and overall quality I expected. I also contacted countless hunters, fishermen, campers, butchers, chefs, taxidermists, collectors, housewives, etc. to find out exactly what features they found necessary and important in the knives they purchased and used. All this information was then pooled. Designs were formulated and brutal testing began. After water submersions, hammer blows, dishwasher runs, and various "people" tests (including moms), I was satisfied with my results. In 1988 Skyblade Knives was formed. Skyblade's pride comes with handcrafting each and every knife to the same quality standards I expected and sought for years.
